Ms. Miriam Beatrice Wanjiru identifies as an Afro-politico-feminist. She is a trained Public Policy and International Relations practitioner with extensive expertise in project management, policy analysis, and advocacy. Her work focuses on advancing international cooperation and human rights through innovative programming, evidence-based policy development, inclusive governance frameworks, and gender mainstreaming.

As the Programs Officer for East Africa at Paradigm Initiative, Miriam Beatrice is committed to bridging Africa’s tech-governance gap. She has successfully led multi-stakeholder projects that empower marginalized communities across East Africa and promote meaningful digital inclusion.

Miriam also serves as a Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) member of the Kenya Internet Governance Forum and is a board member of Goal 4 Initiative. A seasoned facilitator, she is known to convene high-level policy discussions at global platforms such as RightsCon, the Digital Rights and Inclusion Forum (DRIF), and Mozilla Festival, where she discusses critical topics at the intersection of technology, policy, and human rights.

Academically, Miriam is passionate about fostering the sustainability of non-profit entities in the Global South. She is currently completing her master’s thesis, “Decolonizing Funding for Civil Society Organizations in Africa”, as part of her M.A. in International Studies and Global Affairs. She also holds a degree (Hons) in Public Policy and Administration.
