Background
PIN seeks designers who can translate Londa’s insights and data into compelling visuals that will expand the report’s reach and impact across diverse audiences.
Londa is Paradigm Initiative’s annual report on digital rights and inclusion. It documents, analyses, and advocates around digital rights issues across African countries. The report serves policymakers, civil society, researchers, media, development partners, and digital rights advocates. The design must reflect credibility, clarity, urgency, and pan-African identity, while adhering to established design principles, supporting the content, guiding the reader, and maintaining a professional, cohesive appearance.
Scope of Work
The designer will be responsible for creating visually engaging and brand-aligned assets that may include:
- Core Report and the individual country report in English and French (approx 550 – 600 pages)
- Cover design concepts for the Main cover and Individual country reports in English and French
- Country report templates with full editorial layout ensuring adaptability across print and web.
- Infographic and data visualisation systems that communicate key findings from the Londa report, presenting data in a visually engaging and digestible format
- Illustrations and icons that support storytelling and thematic sections of the report.
Deliverables
The designer should be able to deliver:
- Finalised design files in editable formats (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or equivalent).
- Brand assets package (fonts, colour codes, templates) for future use.
- Exported outputs suitable for print (PDF) and web/ social media (PNG/JPEG/SVG).
