From hosting a Digital Rights Academy in Botswana to welcoming us to Lusaka, Zambia for the 2025 Digital Rights and Inclusion Forum and supporting the organisation’s programmes and activities, Chiti Mutati’s work as Programmes Officer for the Southern African region has been inspiring. Today, she reflects on the road covered as we celebrate her second work anniversary.  

“The picture represents how I feel about the work I get to do every day (LOVIN’ IT!). I still vividly remember my first country mission for PIN, hosting the Digital Rights Academy in Botswana. I didn’t really know what to expect, and was quite nervous. So, it serves as a reminder of just how much more I have been able to do since then and how much my contributions to a field I believe in have grown, all while keeping my smile. 

I’m really proud of the work ranging from training African Parliamentarians to taking on digital rights-related strategic litigation cases, which can shape the fabric of our digital societies for the better. 

So, two years in, I’m still so fired up and excited to do this work. I’m proud to be a part of PIN as we work to form strong building blocks for a more inclusive, humanity-focused digital society for all.”
