Frames of Impact: More code to your screen, Joshua

June 1 marked Joshua Oke’s third year as a member of the Paradigm Initiative team. As we celebrate his third anniversary as a PINnovator, Joshua shares a photo reflecting his work in the organisation and what it means to him:

“I am a man of few words and many bits of code. I joined the organisation as the in-house developer, scratch that, Junior Developer (without any senior), and had to find my way through my bits of information, many of which sounded strange at the time. In contrast, my words sounded alien every time I gave updates. This picture is me in my element on any serious workday. What you see are bits and pieces of what became the backend of our Digital Rights Violation Reporting tool (Ripoti). We have rebuilt Ayeta and Ripoti, and built the Digital Rights and Inclusion Forum (DRIF) Ticketing platform to handle DRIF support when the organisation plans to receive support from DRIF attendees, and handled registration for DRIF among many speaking engagements. It’s been fun, it is still fun, and I hope to keep having fun through the many dark screens and tabulated lines.”
