Big Data is a concept that raises a number of issues for data protection and data security. The fear over a major breach of big data datasets is also looming. Another issue with big data processing is that it is often unclear what use data will be put to in the future, so big data seeks to retain datasets for as long as possible. By its very nature, big data requires careful handling for security reasons. Our guest for the week is Mr. M. Agbali of the National Information Technology Development Agency(NITDA).

Mohammed Agbali (Principal Research Officer) and pioneer staff of the Corporate Strategy and Research, NITDA. Agbali is a certified Information Systems Assessor and an experienced Project Management Professional with a wealth of experience in strategic planning, system analysis, design and implementation. He posseses a unique mix of Information Technology (IT) based research methodology and innovative solutions with proven techniques and interpretation of research results. Sound in evaluating problems and communicating possible solutions.

Agbali has an MSc. Information Technology, University of Derby, United Kingdom (UK) with various professional certificates. He is a member of Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) and Nigerian Computer Society (NCS).He has participated at and facilitated conferences/workshops but locally and internationally.
