DigitalJobs Goes Into L.I.F.E.

Thank you for being part of Digital Jobs training, we hope you enjoyed the training(s) you participated in at the Paradigm Initiative Nigeria (PIN) HQ in Yaba, Lagos.

We are pleased to inform you that there is an on-going restructuring in our programs. We are merging Digital Jobs with our L.I.F.E. program. From August 2016, the Digital Jobs program will be integrated in the L.I.F.E. program to better equip the L.I.F.E. beneficiaries and this will enable us to impact more youth across Nigeria. PIN wants to ensure that every young person that goes through the L.I.F.E. Program gets relevant digital skills and are job-ready.

The L.I.F.E. program currently runs in three (3) states: Ajegunle L.I.F.E. Centre (Ajegunle, Lagos); Aba L.I.F.E. Centre (Aba, Abia) and Dakata L.I.F.E. Centre (Dakata, Kano). The trainings in these centres run for a minimum of 8 weeks, which gives room for robust learning and interaction with the volunteer trainers and staff.

PIN’s expansion plan that informed the merger of programs involves extending the L.I.F.E. program to new locations outside our L.I.F.E. Centres, such as libraries, cybercafés and public schools across Nigeria. This will give participants the opportunity to benefit from the program without the barrier of distance, as long as they are within the age bracket of 12 and 28 years.

Paradigm Initiative Nigeria is committed to connecting under-served youth to ICT-enabled opportunities for socio-economic opportunities, across Nigeria, through our programs.

Our TENT@School clubs, which address the lack of technical expertise among Nigerian graduates – especially those who have had the chance to study ICT/Computer Science/Engineering – address many gaps, including the unfortunate Cram-Pass-Forget cycle that students engage in until they are faced with the reality of post-university life, especially in their final year. The TENT@School club is a platform of opportunities that seeks to close this identified gap and prepare tech-savvy students who are ready to unlock opportunities that will be useful for building careers or businesses from school.

We will be glad to see you join or volunteer for any of our programs.

Best Regards,
‘Gbenga Sesan
