Since the start of the year, we have engaged our team members, who work tirelessly to support our work in seven African countries and beyond. Through the #FacesofPIN campaign, we highlight what they do for the organisation, their inspiration, and lessons, among others.
In this edition, we spoke to our Communications Manager, Judith Ogutu, and this is what she had to say:
What do you do for the organization?
I serve as the Communications Manager, an opportunity that enables me to oversee our external messaging in an effort to create impact, influence narratives, and shape the opinions of our stakeholders.
What is your inspiration, or what inspires you in life?
I draw inspiration from my deep yearning to leave a positive mark on the world. This unwavering commitment pushes me forward in my pursuit of meaningful change and lasting influence in my service to humanity. In doing so, I’m always guided by Proverbs 3:27-28, which states, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbour, come back tomorrow, and I’ll give it to you- when you already have it with you.”
What do you love about your job?
The opportunity to share stories that bring about meaningful and positive transformation in the lives of the communities that we serve.
What do you love about PIN?
One of the things I appreciate most about being part of PIN is the organisation’s commitment to enabling employees to excel in their areas of expertise, fostering an environment that encourages creativity and opens up a world of significant possibilities.
What are some of the lessons you have learned over the years? (This could be regarding work or life.)
(This could be regarding work or life): Every experience counts; none goes to waste in this journey of life. Always strive to leave a place better than you found it, and always work towards leaving a positive lasting impression on any individual you meet in life.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Travelling, taking nature walks, listening to gospel music, reading and watching movies inspired by true stories
